This is just a reminder to keep the insects out. (Very tiny, maybe a net, etc.) The worker should spot a bug before the customer. There was a dead bug buried on the top of my sweet potato pie. I don't know where and how the bug got there. I'm still giving you five stars and will return, but be mindful of that. I know many cultures eat bugs, but that’s not my cup of tea. Didn't take a picture because I didn’t want to capture that moment. Sweet potato pie deserved more than that. Very good.
It’s been some years since coming to this bakery (when my grandmother was still alive), and the place hasn’t changed a bit. I loved the treats and such there. Got a Oreo cake slice today and it was pretty tasty. Savored every bite. The staff were also very friendly as well. Kudos to them.
I ordered a cake from Laury's for my birthday. The staff are friendly and the place is nice and clean. The cake I ordered was decorated perfectly, and was moist and delicious. The price I paid for the cake was affordable and was worth every dime. If you want a cake that's affordable and good I recommend Laury's

Best caramel cake ever!! They have the yummiest baked goods in West Garfield Park. They are located on Austin and Madison in between beauty stores. Parking is hit or miss because there is hardly any parking spot available. But if you're patient to circle around or pay for the parking meter. I will take more pictures next time, but to be honest, you need to go as they're don't carry much, just top selling items like their famous sweet potato pie that attracts people from all around waiting in a line. It is best to call in to order ahead of time. Don't get me started on their fresh pound cake .....yummy! Picture is of my grandson preschool cake. I just walked in and got the caramel asking them to put his name in it. It was so big that we lived of it for 4 days.
I wouldn't have thought to go with any other bakery for our big day! We've both loved Laury's Bakery for as long as I can remember . Our wedding cake was delivered to the venue on time, in perfect condition and tasted amazing. Our guest are still talking about it. Thank you Laury's for being apart of our wedding day!
Spent $25 on an amazing cake. The staff were so nice . The writing was beautiful. I would highly recommend this place for any of your occasions.

Small bakery that seems to be family run. Would love for them to be so successful they can make some much needed updates and repairs, but like many small businesses you can tell that they are in that tight space of making ends meet and keeping prices competitive.
